Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived in India on a six-day trip, becoming the second Israeli prime minister to visit New Delhi since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992.
In his conversation with Macron, the Israeli premier said that "Trump's remarks should be taken seriously, and whoever wants to keep the nuclear deal would be wise to fix it", a statement from Netanyahu's office read.
Moreover, the leaders will also "discuss a detailed working plan for the next five years, pursuant to the government's decision to strengthen bilateral ties", the statement said.
Before leaving for his six-day trip to India, Netanyahu promised to "sign very many agreements".
Netanyahu's visit comes days after India voted against Israel at the United Nations on the Jerusalem issue. The much talked-about meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be held at Hyderabad House, which will be followed by delegation-level talks.
As Netanyahu and his wife Sara stepped on the red carpet, a smiling Modi embraced the Israeli leader and then shook hands with the couple.
Modi's meeting with Netanyahu in Jerusalem in July previous year saw India and Israel upgrading bilateral relations to a strategic partnership with special focus on agriculture and water.

Several MoUs, including in the field of oil and gas, renewable energy, amended protocol for airports, cyber security, and co-production of films and documentaries, will be signed between the two sides.
Both Modi and Netanyahu will visit two centres of excellency in Ahmedabad and inaugurate one.
Israel will be investing United States dollars 68.6 million to boost cooperation with India in areas like tourism, technology, agriculture and innovation over a period of four years, a senior official here said ahead of Netanyahu's visit. "There is also a schedule meeting with businessmen in Mumbai", the envoy said.
The road show is said to be an 8-kilometre drive from the airport to the Sabarmati Ashram.
The first stop for the two leaders will be the Teen Murti monument, where they will lay a wreath commemorating the role of three Indian regiments which fought at the battle of Haifa over a century ago.
The prime minister's entourage includes the largest-ever delegation of Israeli businesspeople with representatives from the agriculture, water technology, cybersecurity, defense, health, and food industries.
