Snow is on the Way, But How Much Will We Get?

The leading edge of a strong winter storm moved over the San Diego area Monday, bringing scattered light showers in advance of heavier rains forecast to peak during the Tuesday morning commute.

The warning officially comes to an end at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Here is the WATCH statement. The ice will result will result in very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges, resulting in hard travel conditions.

Ice accumulations of one-tenth to around a quarter of an inch are possible, according to the National Weather Service. GFS and NAM are coming into decent agreement, along with UKMET, but the ECMWF appears too fast and weak, and is largely discarded in this run.

At 2:43 PM the National Weather Service office in Green Bay issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Oneida and Lincoln Counties from 6 AM Thursday morning through 6 PM Thursday evening.
