Vikings Fans Arrive In Philadelphia: 'They Came A Long Way To Lose!'

Owners Mark and Zygi Wilf exited the Vikings' locker room Sunday evening with vacant looks on their faces as the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans celebrated inside Lincoln Financial Field.

So it will be the Eagles facing New England in Super Bowl LII on February 4 at U.S. Bank Stadium. They will be shooting for a sixth Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 52 under Bill Belichick and Brady. The Eagles opened as 6-point 'dogs against the Patriots, and that's just fine with them.

The Patriots and Eagles, who last won an National Football League title in 1960, several years before the first Super Bowl, met in the Super Bowl after the 2004 season with the Patriots prevailing 24-21. Even though oddsmakers believe in the Eagles more than the Jaguars, they're not sold on any other team defeating New England.

"Are we underdogs again?"

"Our first bet was $10,000 on the Eagles", said Jimmy Vaccaro, oddsmaker at the South Point.

A roaring, towel-waving crowd celebrated the victory with a steady stream of "E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles" chants. However, Philadelphia has continued to roll with Nick Foles under center.

Minutes later, players all donned "NFC Champions" T-shirts and caps and celebrated on the field while confetti rained down on them.

"I'm sick to my stomach, I'm more excited than I've ever been", said fan Kristin Davis. So, what can we look forward to in the big game?

Kickoff for Super Bowl LII is 6:30 p.m. on February 4.

Large crowds persist worldwide for second day of Women's March
Leaders like Tom Perez, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, House minority leader Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Movie stars have joined women's marchers in a get-out-the-vote and empowerment rally at Los Angeles City Hall.

Foles silenced his critics with a fantastic effort. The backup quarterback threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns. He tied the franchise record for TD passes in a playoff game. This might have been worse than the 41-0 loss to the Giants in the 2000 NFC title game given the expectations for these Vikings.

"They came a long way to lose!"

The turnover swung momentum to the Eagles, who grabbed a 14-7 lead on LeGarrette Blount's bruising 11-yard run.

"Everbody was really hyped on that first series", Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham said. "But we didn't play good enough to win. But we knew we just had to settle down and we'd be OK". In the biggest game of his professional career, he made a game-altering defensive play in the red zone.

Robinson's interception return was monstrous. And since Calais Campbell and Xavier Rhodes were both selected "twice" by the AP, 42% of the All-Pro defensive players are still left in the playoffs. Safety Damon Moore had a 59-yarder in a 2001 wild-card game against Tampa Bay.

"I could have called a lot better game, obviously, " said Zimmer, who calls the defensive plays.

The Vikings may not end up being the first team to play for the Super Bowl in their home stadium, but they are the first team to reach a conference championship game during the same season their home stadium is used to hold the Super Bowl game.

"Sports betting couldn't be more popular than it is now", said Jay Kornegay of the Westgate Las Vegas sports book. "We're obsessed with (winning it)".
