An 18-month-old boy with Down's Syndrome has become the new face of USA baby food giant Gerber. Gerber which was founded in the 1920's has been organizing the contest, 'Spokesbaby of the Year for last 90 years.

Gerber CEO and president Bill Partyka says Lucas is the ideal fit - and Fuller couldn't agree more.

One-year-old Lucas Warren from Dalton, Georgia, beat out some 140,000 other babies to win this year's title of "Gerber Baby".

"I think our society is finally coming around to the idea that we need to value and respect every single human being".

Bill Partyka, CEO and president of Gerber, says Lucas's smile and happy expression captured the hearts of the Gerber team. The winning photo, posted on Instagram, is of a broadly smiling Lucas in a smart polka dot bowtie and mint-colored polo.

"We hope this opportunity sheds light on the special needs community and educates people that with acceptance and support, individuals with special needs have the opportunity to change the world - just like our Lucas!" she said. The proud dad is a helicopter fix person and served in Georgia's National Guard for six years, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.

As the Grand Prize victor, Lucas' family will receive $50,000 and be featured on Gerber's social media channels throughout the year.

In reward, the baby and his parents will get a $50,000 check.
