Now according to the current reports, this time Salman Khan will be seen playing double roles in this film, however, reports are also suggesting that the sequel has been taken forward from the last film. Wednesday was off to an exciting start when the makers released an announcement stating that Salman will be back for the sequel that will release on Christmas Day, 2019.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter confirmed that Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala will be coming together for Kick 2, a sequel to the 2014 hit film "Kick". Salman encouraged Sajid to direct Kick when he was not entirely sure of it but since the film turned out to be a massive success he will be reprising his role as the commander in chief on the set. The star is also likely to commence shooting for Prabhu Deva's action entertainer, Dabangg 3.The release date is yet to be announced.
Other details of the film are still under wraps. It was an official remake of the 2009 Telugu movie Kick and Tamil movie Thillalangadi. Race 3 will make Salman's first association with the Race franchise.

The hunk of a superstar, who turned 52, previous year on December 27, took the Box Office by storm with Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai, a film which has now become his highest grossing film. In Kick 2 he is retaining his all-round character of Devi Lal aka Devil having many shades such as comical, swag & romantic. This means Salman has two major releases in 2019 so far.
The film has been scheduled to be released during Christmas 2019.
Work on the film is expected to begin shortly.
