New Kingdom Hearts 3 Trailer Shows Monsters Inc World, New Gameplay Details Revealed

As expected with Disney's D23 event taking place in Tokyo, Japan this weekend, more of Kingdom Hearts III, Square Enix's upcoming crossover RPG, has been revealed.

Square Enix will announce a final release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 at E3 2018. When will it be announced?

The second video reveals the theme song for Kingdom Hearts 3, which is called "Don't Think Twice" by Hikaru Utada. In addition to showing off Sora, Donald, and Goofy's custom world looks, gameplay of the area is also debuted, showing off a door chase sequence similar to the original Monsters Inc. movie.

Serena Williams admits to rollercoaster ride ahead of Fed Cup return
Williams' 23 Grand Slam singles titles put her one behind the record held by Margaret Court. Right now my main goal is just to stay in the moment.

There's plenty of Monsters Inc. world on show in the trailer, plus more of a look at Toy Story world, and glimpses of Ariel and Rapunzel, from the Little Mermaid and, er, Rapunzel respectively.

Previously, producer Shinji Hashimoto said that Kingdom Hearts III will also include a level inspired by Big Hero 6's San Fransokyo. Kingdom Hearts regulars like Riku, Vanitas and Marluxia also pop up. At last year's D23 Expo in Japan, the Toy Story world was revealed. Speaking of combat, Square told Gamespot there would be "more enemies than ever before". That's going to change later this year when Kingdom Hearts 3 finally arrives...and that's not all that has changed! Firstly there's an exploration phase, which is thought to be open world based. Development is split into three sections: Early, middle, and late.

What other worlds would you like to see in the game? However, no estimate was given for the late section of worlds.
