Jammu: Mohammad Akbar Lone, a National Conference leader on Saturday raised Pro-Pakistan slogans in the Legislative Assembly after BJP members shouted anti-Paki slogans.

Soon after the House met, BJP lawmakers started shouting "Pakistan Murdabad" to protest the fidayeen attack. "In response to this, I said it (Pakistan Zindabad)", Lone later said, explaining his remarks. "I won't take back my words", he said.

Opposition legislators targeted the Speaker for the remarks. Amid this terror attack in J&K, a sitting NC MLA, Muhammad Akbar Lone from Sonawari Assembly, Bandipora district created a tense situation in the Assembly.

Earlier, the House was adjourned amid chaos over Speaker's controversial remarks against Rohingyas.

The Speaker expunged his comments but reiterated later outside the Assembly that the presence of Rohingya refugees in Jammu was a cause for concern.

Two Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) were killed while a Colonel rank officer and daughter of an Army personnel were among four persons injured as militants attacked the Sunjwan Army camp in Jammu city early today. He also termed them a security threat.

However, National Conference distanced itself from the controversy.

The National Conference (NC) on Saturday condemned the remarks of MLA Akbar Lone in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly as "completely unacceptable". In a tweet, NC spokesperson Junaid Azim Mattu said party president "Just spoke to chief NC Farooq Abdullah sahib". As the working president of NC, Omar Abdullah endorsed the party patron's statement, he was attacked by the BJP spokesman, GVL Narasimha Rao, who tweeted to Omar: "Please stop this drama".

Mattu said the NC chief stated that Lone should not forget that he belonged to the party which had rejected the two-nation theory. "We need to focus on the unfortunate developments in #SunjwanArmyCamp & not get distracted by misplaced slogans", he wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.com.
