Antonio Conte admits he has been a 'disaster' in the transfer market

Conte praises ´fantastic´ Luis Enrique

Antonio Conte: Chelsea players have gotten used to rumours of my departure

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte believes blame should be shared for the dramatic slump that has the Italian fighting for his job as West Brom visit the English champions tonight.

That's according to Duncan Castles, of the Daily Record, who made the claim on the Transfer Window Podcast.

"I do feel sorry for the manager because the job he did previous year was absolutely outstanding and I don't really think he's changed too much", Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"My task is to try and improve every single player, in every aspect - in terms of their mentality also. I have to speak more with the managers who are very, very good to persuade their clubs to spend money and buy top players".

I think in this aspect I can improve a lot.

"I've got no problem picking him", said Pardew. I am this type of coach. "I have to learn a lot from the other coaches, the other managers".

When quizzed about the Spaniard last week, the Chelsea boss said: "Players like Morata, for us, are very important and have been missing for a long period of time".

While he was in South Korea, Pence opted to ignore the North Koreans but didn't avoid meeting with them, the official said. If taken up it would be the first time in a decade that the leaders of both countries have met for a summit.

'I think I am a bit of a disaster at convincing the club to buy the players...

Conte laughed at a suggestion that he should stop improving his players and replied: 'You are not the first person to tell me this'.

Rumours have been rife this week that the combination of tension of transfers and poor results on the pitch, had lead The Blues hierarchy to approach former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique about taking over the Stamford Bridge hot seat from Conte.

In a bid to turn the tide, Conte changed his usual practice and gave his squad three days off this week to recharge their batteries. I have great admiration for Luis Enrique and he is a fantastic coach.

"I have spoken with him, and he's a really good person", added the Italian.

West Brom also have their troubles.
