Prime Minister Modi's visit to Palestine comes a month after India hosted Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. On the first leg of his trip, Modi had travelled to Ramallah, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to make an official visit to Palestine. Narendra Modi, while attending the stone laying ceremony via video conferencing in Dubai, thanked the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi for gracious donation of the land.
Before taking off from New Delhi, Modi said he was "looking forward to my discussions with President Abbas and reaffirming our support for the Palestinian people and the development of Palestine".
Kumar called it "history in the making".
Prior to arriving at the occupied Palestinian territories, Modi met Jordan's King Abdullah II in Amman.
Israeli authorities control all entrance and exit points to the West Bank including its 150 km border with Jordan and the airspace above.
PM Modi further said that Indians are now on a path to building a new India, and that it is reflected in the massive change the work culture has undergone.
The prime minister will today lay the foundation stone for the first Hindu temple in the UAE's capital Abu Dhabi. Modi was given a warm welcome by the Palestine leader Mahmoud Abbas and also awarded the highest civil honor of Palestine the "the grand collar". Earlier in the day, Modi paid tributes at the UAE war memorial Wahat Al Karama near Abu Dhabi.

"India hopes that soon Palestine will come a free country in a peaceful manner", he said. Since the visits, bilateral investments between UAE and India have witnessed an increase.

This is Modi's second visit to the UAE after August 2015.
On Saturday, India and the UAE signed five MoUs, including in the areas of energy and railways, following delegation-level talks headed by Modi and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan here.
