Morgan Tsvangirai to be buried on Monday

Morgan Tsvangirai dies aged 65, leaving question over post-Mugabe elections

Morgan Tsvangirai, the enduring face of Zimbabwe's opposition dies

Tsvangirai had been the MDC-T's only leader since its formation in 1999.

Nelson Chamisa, the party's former deputy, was nominated as interim president as hundreds of party supporters gathered outside the headquarters today to grieve and celebrate Mr Tsvangirai's life.

Elias Mudzuri, one of the MDC's three presidents, said on Friday that the burial would take place "either on Monday or Tuesday" and "final arrangements" would be made once the body had arrived back into Zimbabwe. His death leaves a gap in a country that still needs strong and vigilant forces of change to return to the path of democracy and freedom. The dictator was ousted from power in December after 37 years.

Now Mnangagwa, Mugabe's longtime ally, is in charge and is reaching out to the worldwide community after years of sanctions over alleged human rights abuses and rigged elections, hoping to bring in badly needed foreign investment to revive a collapsing economy. The constitution says elections should be between July 23 and August 21, though Mnangagwa has hinted they could be held earlier, perhaps in May. The party said it will meet again to choose a candidate for upcoming elections.

Drake gives away almost $1M to Miami residents in 'God's Plan' video
After teasing it for weeks via his Instagram , Drake has finally unveiled the video for his latest track, 'God's Plan '. If that seems like a bold claim, it's because of a tidbit revealed at the beginning of the Karena Evans-directed video.

"Anyone who is interested in ending ZANU-PF should unite, in spite of ideological differences".

He said his government will do everything possible to ensure the departed opposition leader gets a dignified send-off.

Meanwhile, Tsvangirai's arch-rival of the last 20 years, Mugabe, who has not been seen in public since his last televised speech on November 19, has not issued any public statement to offer his condolences to the family.

In January, Mr Tsvangirai suggested he would be stepping down, saying he was "looking at the imminent prospects of us as the older generation leaving the levers of leadership to allow the younger generation to take forward this huge task".
