Jennifer Lawrence glitters in gold at Red Sparrow premiere

Jennifer Lawrence Plans to Take the Next Year Off From Acting: Here's Why (Exclusive)

Jennifer Lawrence has announced she will take a break from acting

"It doesn't have anything to do with partisan politics", Lawrence told ET of her involvement with the non-profit organization.

Jennifer Lawrence is no stranger to challenging roles, but playing a seductive Russian spy in her latest thriller, Red Sparrow, still came with its fair share of unexpected challenges - including mastering the hard accent.

Jennifer has dated a number of famous men including actor Nicholas Hoult, Coldplay singer Chris Martin and most recently her Mother! director Darren Aronofsky, but admitted she is now in "single mode".

She said: "When I come home I unlock the door great Pippi". "I'm going to take the next year off". Lawrence has also spoken out on Hollywood's gender pay gap, humiliating experiences as a woman working in Hollywood, and more.

Some commentators, however, questioned whether Swaney's performance lowered the standard and integrity of the Olympics. Some felt she was simply an embarrassment though others believe she's an inspiration for mediocre athletes everywhere.

She's an Oscar victor and one of the world's highest-paid actresses but now Jennifer Lawrence is turning her back on Hollywood - for a year, anyway. She said: "I would love to help pass a bundle of laws [against government corruption]". So I'm like, just adjective after adjective, "tall, beautiful, just say that I'm this and that, ' and she was like, 'alright darling". "It's not easy to face criticism on a global scale", said Lawrence during her acceptance speech. "And then I don't know what I'm doing next". This a year ago has been a trying and challenging time in our world and our industry specifically. I am so grateful to be a woman, I wouldn't change it for the world. "It was daunting and scary but I hope we pulled it off".

Lawrence jokingly added, "Because I'd be like, 'I don't want the robe". We just can't agree on what that is.

The Joy star also told Oprah Winfrey in an interview for The Hollywood Reporter in December that she had become obsessed with politics since Donald Trump had become President of the United States.
