The quarter finals of the men's Olympic hockey tournament get underway on Tuesday night, with Team USA two games away from a gold medal match.
"We came in with the intention of being confident, not just being anxious about going home", said Donato. "It's been a really nice mix".
Donato got looked at on the bench and Zapolski took a few minutes before deciding not to leave the net. He said he felt like he a pinched nerve in his neck.
"I thought I've had a good tournament the whole time", Terry said. It took a little bit. "It was a little bit of a scary thing".
Peter Ceresnak stopped the bleeding temporarily for Slovakia to make it a 3-1 game, but Garrett Roe answered back with a goal in the third period to put the United States back into a three-goal lead.
Donato is now tied in Olympic scoring with his father Ted, a former Boston Bruin player, who had four goals and three assists in 1992 at the Games in Albertville.
"The chemistry and the message that our players were able to send, that sports transcends the barriers, they did a great job".
"And we got him (Wisniewski) there for one reason, to shoot the puck on the powerplay". There were none of those against Slovakia.
Scoring on the 5-on-3 power play that came with Cajovsky ejected and Nagy in the box was the kind of confidence-building goal the US needed, and getting to five against the team coach Tony Granato called perhaps the best defensive team in the tournament has the Americans feeling good going into the quarterfinals. The game is broadcast by NBC, but you can also stream it live here.

Playing in 50 games a year ago , the defenseman was down to 31 games this season, registering a goal and six assists in that time. On Sunday, Smith-Pelly said this has happened to him previously and referred to it as "disgusting".
"I didn't know that before, but it feels good", said the younger Donato, who matched his dad's mark in half the number of games.
"We came in feeling confident about not going home".
"The Olympic Games is really the pinnacle for USA Hockey and it should be the pinnacle for every hockey player born in the USA. They're good. They've got a lot of energy and they're going to keep me going".

The U.S. will next play the Czech Republic in a quarterfinal game set for 10:10 p.m. ET Tuesday.
"There's some different weapons that we'll have to be aware of", Granato said. I think that's something that shows how strong this team is and how resilient we are. "We have to attack, we have to get in on the forecheck, we have to use our offensive players that we do have, the skillset that we do have".
Meanwhile, Norway reached the quarter-finals for the first time after Alexander Bonsaksen's goal in overtime secured a 2-1 victory against Slovenia.
Slovenia played without forward Ziga Jeglic, who was suspended earlier in the day for doping. The Czech Republic topped Group A with a 2-0-1 record, beating South Korea and Switzerland in regulation and Canada in overtime.
