Activision have recently confirmed that the next Call of Duty game will be called Black Ops 4

It's been rumoured for a while that we'd be getting a new Black Ops title as the Call of Duty game this year.

The worldwide release of the game is set for October 12.

Black Ops 4 will be developed by Treyarch, the studio behind 2015's Black Ops 3.

Be sure to mark your calendars for Thursday, May 17, when you can tune in to a community reveal event about the game-changing experience coming in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Following the darker approach of the Black Ops series, we can see there is a psychological element present; one that will inevitably affect the gameplay of the first-person shooter. As of yesterday, when the New Call of Duty title was announced, we were all excited to find out that it's releasing a month earlier than expected.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker coming to Switch and 3DS on July 13
With some of the action taking place on the Wii U GamePad, the new version of game would work well on the Switch and 3DS screens. We already have versions of Mario Kart 8 and Bayonetta 2 , with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze coming out soon as well.

It also looks like a zombies mode will be included, to nobody's surprise. The publisher has even given the game an earlier release date than usual, in an effort to get out before Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2, which is expected to dominate holiday sales charts.

As it seems Call of Duty is at the opposite side of the road this year.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III went for futuristic combat set in the year 2065. This design is now quite obviously the Black Ops 4 logo, fuelling speculation that Activision have brought forward the announcement in response to that leak. This has been set for May 17th, 2018 - right before this year's E3 event. He recently moved to California to pursue whatever future endeavors were there.
