Jeff Hardy has been arrested and charged with DWI following a single-car crash in North Carolina, according to reports.
Now that the dust has settled, more details are coming out about just what took place this weekend - and unfortunately, it looks like Hardy's impairment was due to alcohol consumption after all.
The 40-year-old WWE star crashed his auto in Concord on Saturday at about 10.30pm, his arrest report shows. The police estimates show that the damage to Hardy's 2016 Cadillac may be $8,000 in addition to $5,000 in damages to the guardrail. Hardy was released from custody about an hour later.
The former WWE Champion is expected to return to Carrabus County Courts on April 16.

I mean, I'm still in shock", Anisimova said. "Definitely, I think it's motivating", Anisimova said in an interview last week. He has only dropped 3 of 34 sets this year. "I just completely lost rhythm, everything", Djokovic told reporters afterwards.
"Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions", WWE told TMZ.
He "ran off the roadway to the right, in turn striking about 105ft of guardrail, before the back end of the auto spun out 90 degrees to the left, coming to rest in the middle of the right northbound lane of travel", the report states. "We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials". Hardy was also arrested in 2009 for drug possession, eventually serving a 10-day jail sentence.
Hardy is now shelved with a shoulder injury, but was recently cleared to return to the ring. Hardy has been out of action since September 2017 after undergoing surgery to fix torn ligaments in his shoulder.
