Report Cardinals expected to release Adrian Peterson

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Arizona Cardinals are expected to release future Hall of Fame running back Adrian Peterson. And when asked by TMZ Sports what his "dream scenario" would be, Peterson said "Obviously, being back home would be awesome". But coming back here where I work out every day. "Houston has always been a team I've thought about".

That bonus was part of the two-year deal that Peterson signed with the Saints last offseason and acquired by the Cardinals when they traded for Peterson in October. My family is here. Being around her a little more during this time would be even more a cherry on top.

Donald Trump removes Rex Tillerson as US Secretary of State
President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson confer during a working lunch with African leaders during the U.N. Mr Pompeo issued a statement saying he was "looking forward" to representing the President.

For his career, Peterson ranks 12th on the all-time list with 12,276 rushing yards, three behind Marshall Faulk and 36 shy of Jim Brown at No. 10. Unfortunately, he missed the last month of the regular season after suffering a neck injury. He spent 2017 playing brief stints with the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals.

Now he is hopeful there will be an opportunity to play close to home.
