The driver of the Infiniti eventually drove completely away from the scene, but police officers said that they later apprehended the 25-year-old, identified as Maxwell Oleg Lagutenko.

A spectacle that played out on Miami's Biscayne Boulevard Sunday quickly made its way to social media as bystanders chased and pummeled an SUV that was believed to be fleeing a hit-run crash scene. That is when another witness at the scene pulls out a sledgehammer and bashes the windows of the auto while the vehicle is moving.

A hit-and-run driver's vehicle was attacked by an angry mob who battered it with sledgehammers after he tried to flee the scene of a huge crash.

"That's insane", witness Anthony Jimenez told WPLG.

In the video, one man screams "don't move", but the driver refuses to heed his words and attempts to run.

A Wrinkle in Time
Ava is a pioneer. "It's why I feel privileged to call her my big sister", he raved in the letter published on ESPN's website . And even with those numbers, Wrinkle In Time may still struggle to make a profit - as its budget far exceeded $100 million.

In a video posted to Facebook, two men are seen yelling at the driver to stop as they pound on his vehicle and try to open the doors.

But cops warned others not to repeat the actions of the vigilante drivers who ganged up on the SUV should they find themselves in a similar situation, and dial 911 instead. "You know, you have a crash, you stop". Other drivers can be seen trying to block the auto.

Jimenez, who called the police, said the man with the sledgehammer went too far.

Lagutenko was charged with reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident causing property damage, and fleeing and eluding a police officer.

Instead, officers urge people to call the police with a description of the vehicle.
