Condemning the incident, state Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy said the Assembly Speaker should take it up seriously as he hit out at the Congress over it. TRS MLC P Rajeswara Reddy alleged the Congress members indulged in "physical attack" by throwing objects, and demanded a probe into the incident.

Telangana Government has cracked the whip on the Congress MLAs who created a ruckus in the Assembly trying to obstruct the Governor's Address.

The state government has announced an investment support scheme for farmers, but the opposition Congress and BJP allege that the TRS government has failed to implement its farm loan waiver effectively and also in providing MSP to farmers for different crops. They also displayed placards.

"One Congress MLA, who was drunk, lost his balance and fell on their leader Jana Reddy, who was seated". But Jana Reddy doesn't deserve such kind of treatment. "It was an unintended act", the Nalgonda MLA later told reporters.

The House will debate on the motion of thanks for Governor's address for two days - March 13 and 14 - and this will conclude with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's reply. The moment Narasimhan began his address, MLAs from the Opposition Congress stormed the well of the House raising slogans against the alleged anti-farmer attitude and the government's failure to stop farmers' suicides in the state. He listed out the irrigation projects, education reforms and the initiatives for development if the state and welfare of people.
