Apple grabs 'Bob's Burgers' creator's new animated musical series

Animated Musical Comedy Central Park Lands at Apple

Apple Orders Animated Musical Comedy Starring Josh Gad, Tituss Burgess, Daveed Diggs, & More!

Developed by Gad and Loren Bouchard, as well as Emmy victor Nora Smith, the series will focus on "a group of caretakers" who watch over Central Park and take care of it (obviously). Bouchard and Gad are executive producers; Smith will be a consulting producer.

The star-studded voice cast includes Josh Gad; two former Hamilton cast members in Leslie Odom Jr. and Daveed Diggs, Titus Burgess, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, and Kathryn Hahn. Kevin Larsen, who played a key role in getting the project together, is a producer. The show is the first animated series for Apple. The new network gave a commitment for two seasons, with a total of 26 episodes.

After Fox ultimately passed on Central Park, 20th TV took the project out, sparking a heated bidding war among Apple, Netflix and Hulu.

Danny Amendola expected to sign with Miami Dolphins
Although Amendola was a huge asset and reliable player for Tom Brady and the team, the money was too much to leave behind. Amendola also had 11 catches on 13 targets for 112 yards in a divisional-round rout of the Tennessee Titans.

This move marks a rare one for 20th Century Fox Television, selling work outside the Fox corporate family.

Apple had added yet another show to its growing list of to be produced original content.
