While offering improved thermal management compared to previous Raspberry Pi incarnations, the board also retains numerous same features and capabilities of previous-generation boards such as its small mechanical footprint of 85 x 56mm, making it suitable for the current official Raspberry Pi case, as well as many other third-party enclosures available on the market today. As a result, power consumption can be lower on the Model B+ for the same clock frequencies and voltages.

The key improvements on the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ are its processor and networking capabilities. Now comes the Model B+ with extra features like upgraded processor, power-over-ethernet, 802.11AC and Bluetooth 4.2 to name a few.

The new Raspberry Pi, which launches two years after the original Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, features the same quad-core Broadcom BCM2837 CPU as it's predecessor.

Redmi 5 to Launch in Today
Today's launch event will be livestreamed on the official Xiaomi India website and also on the company's YouTube channel. The Redmi 5a Prime has a hybrid 32GB ROM and a 3GB RAM while its counterpart, the Redmi 5a houses 16GB ROM and 2GB RAM.

The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is manufactured exclusively in the United Kingdom under licence by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. The chip, which runs at 1.4GHz, throttles down to 1.2GHz if the temperatures exceed 70 degrees Celsius. Lab tests show nearly a 25 percent performance improvement for 2.4 GHz bandwidth over the Model B. Bluetooth has also been updated to version 4.2 in place of 4.0. It was the first product from the organization to come with 64-bit processing and integrated wireless connectivity, making it a popular option for the homebrew community. The revised processor carries model number BCM2837B0 and has a metallic heat spreader to improve thermal performance. PXE network and USB mass-storage booting have also been improved to alleviate some prior frustrations. "While the USB 2.0 connection to the application processor limits the available bandwidth, we still see roughly a threefold increase in throughput compared to Raspberry Pi 3B", the blog post reads.

So, overall, the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is quite similar to its former models and enthusiasts can buy it at the same price of $35 from here. Raspberry Pi 1B+ will continue to sell for $25, Pi 2B and Pi 3B for $35.
