The Bayern Munich coach brought up the landmark thanks to Wednesday's routine 3-1 win at Besiktas, wrapping up an 8-1 aggregate victory that booked a place in the quarter-finals.

Bayern eased past Besiktas 3-1 in the second leg to complete a resounding victory, a record 11th straight in the competition for Heynckes, who led Bayern to the title in 2013 before retiring and returning this season.

Jupp Heynckes made just two changes to the Bayern starting XI that thrashed Hamburg 6-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday, with Thiago Alcantara and Rafinha replacing Arjen Robben and Joshua Kimmich.

But Muller created a fine goal for Thiago to get Bayern up and running, the midfielder timing his run into the box perfectly to tuck away a first-time finish from a pinpoint right-wing cross. The visitors' level consequently dropped and Besiktas improved toward the end of the half.

Bayern extended their lead moments after the start of the second half when Turkey global Gonul flicked the ball into his own net from a Rafinha cross. It resumed after the cat jumped back over the advertising hoarding.

The tip contained photos of guns and bomb making material in Hari's parent's house where he usually stayed. Hari is said to have promised to pay Morris and McWhorter $18,0000 for carrying out the attack.

Besiktas improved and were rewarded when they pulled a goal back following a mistake in the Bayern defence, Love slotting into the bottom corner past Sven Ulreich for his first Champions League goal since 2011.

The only concern for Bayern was an apparent foot injury for Thiago, who was visibly frustrated as he went off in the 35th for James Rodriguez.

"If his injury is serious, that would be very upsetting for us, but I am always optimistic and I hope it is not too serious", he said.

Thomas Muller scored twice in last month's game and he should have opened the scoring in the 10th minute, blasting over the rebound after Tolga Zengin parried David Alaba's free-kick.

Besiktas fans already made headlines earlier in the competition when RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner had to be taken off due to dizziness created by the intense noise in the stadium during their group-stage encounter. We want the Champions League, we are very determined, and we also want the German Cup.
