Patrick Robinson, New Orleans Saints Agree to Four-year Deal

Report: CB Patrick Robinson to sign with Saints

Eagles lose CB Patrick Robinson to Saints: 6 thoughts | Who will be next to go?

Philadelphia Eagles veteran cornerback Patrick Robinson will sign with the New Orleans Saints.

According to Ian Rapoport, contract talks stalled between Robinson and the Eagles after weeks of back and forth negotiations and the New Orleans Saints, the team that originally drafted Robinson 32nd overall in 2010, capitalized on the situation and locked their former player up on a new four-year deal. After finishing his rookie contract, he bounced around until landing with the Eagles where he became a key part of their championship season. Robinson broke out for four interceptions last year-five if you include the playoffs-while earning PFF's No. 4 grade out of 120 qualifiers at cornerback.

In New Orleans, Robinson can still compete for a title with a team that has a legitimate shot to contend. There is a good chance that we can expect a battle for the third cornerback position in this year's training camp with the loss of Robinson as no one that is now on the roster is a lock to play the position in his absence.

Robinson was more than steady; he also brought big-play ability to the defense. At times the defensive backfield looked rough, but Robinson was always the guy they could count on in the nickel.

India inaugurates mega solar project
The aim of ISA is to mobilize USA $1 trillion in funds for future solar generation, storage, and technology across the world. The Ministry had approved the setting up of four solar parks in Uttar Pradesh (UP) with a total capacity of 440 MW.

The Saints and free agent CB Patrick Robinson are reuniting.

As for the Eagles, they have a deep group of young cornerbacks that ease the blow of losing Robinson.

Robinson would fit well as a slot defender on the Patriots defense, who just lost Malcolm Butler to the Tennessee Titans.
