The Maserati Levante Trofeo begins production this summer in Italy. It produces 590 PS (433 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. Maserati says the Levante Trofeo's 0 to 62 miles per hour sprint can happen in 3.9 seconds. Among the distinguishing exterior design cues are a piano black grille insert, carbon fiber splitter and other aerodynamic elements.
Larger tyres have been fitted to the giant 22-inch forged aluminium wheels, which is said to improve the cars handling.
Production will begin in the summer, with a date for United Kingdom sales yet to be announced.
Standard comfort and convenience features include a 1280-Watt, 17-speaker Bowers & Wilkins surround-sound audio system, specific instrument cluster graphics, floor mats with metal Trofeo badges and a Maserati clock. Thanks to its remarkable weight/power ratio of 8.1 lbs./hp (3.6 kg/hp) the Trofeo needs only 3.7 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour (3.9 seconds for 0-100 km/h) and only 113 feet (34.5 meters) of braking distance to get back to a complete stop. The Levante also features a flawless 50:50 weight balance and rides on large, 22-inch forged aluminium wheels.

Hayes credited his tour guide for helping him remain calm and showing him how to slow down his breathing. Though the experience was one of the "scariest moments" in his life, it was also exhilarating.
A new Corsa driving mode is exclusive to the Trofeo, offering launch control functionality and modifies the throttle, suspension, all-wheel-drive system, and transmission personality. The Corsa mode improves engine response, opens the exhaust valves on acceleration, quickens shifts from the 8-speed automatic, lowers the ride height and optimizes the shock settings on the magnetic ride suspension. There's also a new Maserati Integrated Vehicle Control which aids the SUV's stability. The show auto was specified with matte finish for the wheels, Grigio Lava paint and red brake calipers. This limited series Trofeo is exclusively intended for a small number of Maserati customers in the USA and Canada.
