After the Allahabad HC issued asked to detain the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, the main accused in Unnao rape case, he was sent to seven-day Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody on Saturday. The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) while confirming the resignation of two ministers, Chowdary Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga, said that the party legislature meeting will decide the fate of both the ministers tomorrow.

CBI yesterday interrogated Shashi Singh about the incident. As per the claims of the victim herself she was raped by the accused MLA on June 4, 2017.
