Vincent Kompany aiming to retain Premier League title

Vincent Kompany wants to buck the trend and “unlock full potential” of Manchester City

Yaya Toure has posted a congratulatory message to celebrate Manchester City's triumph as champions of the 2017-18 English Premier League season.

City's club captain, who celebrated the win live on camera, spoke to Sky Sports in the aftermath of City being crowned champions. The Belgium worldwide was eager to draw on comparisons with Guardola's Barcelona and Bayern Munich sides, insisting that Manchester City are more complete as a collective. They won the title because they were the best team, because they won a great amount of points.

"My third league but this one is the most special", he wrote on his official Twitter account.

Silva however thanked his coach Pep Guardiola, his teammates and all his fans for the support they gave him.

"We can't just stop at one Premier League title if we go on", City defender Kyle Walker said. Five straight failures, at Bayern and City, are starting to eat away at him and he recently acknowledged that his teams' tendency to collapse under pressure was a worry.

"I'm so happy with our season and we need to realise that we need to keep pushing and to keep working because to play at this level is about being consistent and showing better quality", he said. City has 87 points.

IMD predicts normal monsoon this year
A normal monsoon will not only aid agriculture growth but could have a positive impact on the overall rural economy. The monsoon is considered normal if the average rainfall is between 96 to 104 per cent of long period average.

How to City compare with other great sides?
David Silva and Leroy Sane are also in double figures and if Raheem Sterling, now on eight, can join them they will be the first team ever with four players reaching that mark. "Our City. Premier League Champions 17/18". Did Manchester City have a weak spot?

What does the future hold for Pep and his City slickers?

Aguero scored the remarkable injury-time goal against QPR that saw City clinch their first Premier League crown on the last day of the campaign in 2012.

An approach to the game which has a lineage back to the Dutch "total football" of the early 1970s, taken to Barcelona by Johann Cruyff and which Guardiola has adapted and evolved, requires not only a top skillset from the players but a change of mentality.

"They were the right ones and the ones we believed in". Especially if you have been a Blue for more than 40 years in your heart.

It was City's third title in seven seasons and easily its most convincing, with Pep Guardiola's team 16 points clear and still having five games to play this season.
