Mahindra unveils refreshed XUV 500

Engine: Mahindra and Mahindra will offer XUV 500 in both petrol and diesel variants.

Called "The Plush New XUV 500", the refreshed version has been unveiled at a starting price of ₹12.32 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai, for W5 variant). The new 2018 Mahindra XUV500 will sport not only exterior updates but also feature upgrades along with new powertrain option. The cabin comes with black and tan interiors alongside the newly quilted tan leather seats, soft touch leather dashboard and piano black centre console.

Following endless spy shots and speculations, Mahindra has finally launched the 2018 XUV500 in India at Rs 12.32 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).

Wadhera added, " Today, with the launch of the plush new XUV500, we have strengthened its value proposition further by creating new benchmarks in luxury and styling.

The refreshed model has bold design, luxurious interiors, and a powerful engine targeting the needs of premium customers.

On the looks front, it comes with a wider grille with chrome inserts, fog lamps with a a new chrome bezel, new tailgate with split tail-lamps, a new spoiler and new LED daytime running lamps. However, the motor now gets sixth generation eVGT (electronically controlled Variable Geometry Turbocharger) which increased the maximum power output up to 155PS.

The XUV2018 also comes with enhanced suspension, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP with Rollover mitigation, hill hold and hill descent control and disc brakes on all wheels. It also has the freedom to choose manual and automatic gear combinations. The facelifted XUV500 is expected to get a minor price hike and could be sold in 5 trims: W5, W7, W9, W11 and W11 Option Pack. The company has launched two new colour options with the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift, which includes Crimson Red and Mystic Cooper.
