Nubia Red Magic Gaming Smartphone is Now Official With Snapdragon 835 SoC

Nubia has announced the launch of its first gaming smartphone. Currently, neither of the three smartphones are available in India, but there is a possibility that might launch in India soon. And as you might expect, the smartphone runs Android.

It also packs 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. There are two variants - 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB. The base model will cost customers 2,499 yuan ($397).

The niche smartphone category has been dominated by Razer.

The Nubia Red Magic comes with a GameBoost mode, which frees up memory-intensive resources and delivers higher frame rates. The whole display is covered with a piece of NEG Dinorex T2X-1 glass.

At its press event in Beijing, China, ZTE has unveiled the Nubia Red Magic phone which comes with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a tall 18:9 aspect ratio and a contrast ratio of 1500:1. While on the front, it has an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It offers support for 4K video recording at 30fps and slow-motion 720p video at 120fps.

On the rear, there is a single 24MP camera with a f/1.7 aperture, 0.9μm pixel size and Samsung 5K2X7SX sensor.

On the software side of things, the powerful Red Magic Phone comes with stock Android 8.1 Oreo, which means that it doesn't have any custom skin on top of Android.

That being said, another element that adds to the looks of this gaming smartphone is the glowing strip of RGB LED lights on the back of this phone. The Red Magic comes with an ergonomic design that is paired with an RGB strip light at the back which supports up to 16M colours, created to look like that of a gaming PC. There is a huge 3,800mAh battery under the hood with fast charging support via USB Type-C port. Following this, Razar Phone already exists in the market while Xiaomi's Black Shark has been newly launched. The Razer Phone also has a 120Hz display, which we think is a boon for gaming.
