The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives due to capsizing of a boat in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district. According to an official from Rajamahendravaram, the boat mishap might have been caused by strong wind in the region.

As the boat got stuck in the sand of the riverbed at least 40 feet below the surface, and with all its doors and windows closed, extricating the bodies trapped inside is proving cumbersome, a senior official involved in the rescue operation said.

Pawan Kalyan responded on this issue and commented that these boats are running with purely profit motto and government needs to take stringent actions to make sure these kind of incidents dont happen in future.
