Testifying in court on Thursday, Reuben Foster's ex-girlfriend said she lied about Foster hitting her, and that she made up the accusations as part of a "money scheme".

Ennis' court testimony has included (as detailed on David Lombardi's timeline) stating that she was injured in a fight with a couple of other women the night before she accused Foster of domestic violence, and then Foster broke up with her the next morning. "I really am. I apologize to everybody".

During Ennis' testimony she finally came clean.

Said Bentley: "You knew in this case when Reuben Foster broke up with you that you were going to go to your playbook and ruin his career".

She also admitted to stealing more than $8,000 from Foster after taking his account and routing numbers.

Ennis was asked by prosecutor Kevin Smith if Foster ever laid hands on her.

Wiens, who testified after Ennis, said he had doubts about that fight taking place and did not follow up with authorities in San Francisco because he did not have a location or further information to go on.

According to multiple reports, Ennis admitted to falsely accusing an ex-boyfriend of domestic assault in Louisiana back in 2011.

"I was pissed and I wanted to end him", Ennis testified.

As reported by the Sacramento Bee, Ennis is believed to have first recanted the story just days after the incident, but charges were still filed against Foster in April. Ennis confirmed she was in the video. "I took more than money". She says a friend sent her a link to a video of the fight posted on Instagram.

The 49ers said they will release Foster if the allegations prove true.
