The rapper TI has been arrested on disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and simple assault charges as he tried to enter his gated community outside Atlanta, police have said.

The Atlanta rapper had been on the straight and narrow since being released from prison.

T.I. says his early morning arrest was completely B.S. and believes he got locked up by white police officers for being an affluent African-American celebrity.

Following news of the arrest, T.I.'s attorney, Steve Sadow, provided the following statement to ET, alleging his client was the victim of a wrongful arrest. It took Tip some time to wake up the sleeping guard.

Rhetoric over USA exit from Iran deal rises
Bolton suggested that European allies might agree to new USA approach once they digest Mr. Trump's tough line on Iran , of course, was intended for an audience beyond Tehran.

Authorities told TMZ that T.I. was eventually allowed into the gated community but returned to argue with the security guard thus leading to his arrest. The rapper was released from the Henry County Jail about 8 a.m. Wednesday after posting $2,250 bond.

In an update, TMZ reported that sources told them T.I. did not strike the guard but that the guard "feared he would be hit during the dispute", which apparently under Georgia law constitutes simple assault. Tip clearly identified himself and sought entry. Tip was in contact with Tiny' by phone and "Tiny" confirmed that Tip should be let in immediately. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to AJC, the incident occurred after an argument with the gate guard, who refused to grant him access without his key. "When the police arrived, they were not interested in hearing Tip's side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting Tip".

He insists he should never have been arrested and explains he got into a "very heated debate" with the security guard because he was allegedly asleep while he was supposed to be working.
