At Least 2 Dead, Many Hurt in Obliterating NJ School Bus Crash

HORROR IN NJ: School Bus & Dump Truck Collide On Route 80; Fatalities Reported, Many Injured

Multiple Injuries Reported after School Bus, Dump Truck Collide in New Jersey

According to U.S. media, 10 people have been taken to the Hackettstown Medical Center, 10 have been taken to St Clare's Hospital and others have been taken to the Morristown Medical Center.

A Mendez-owned dump truck driven by a driver police say had a suspended license struck and killed a French fashion stylist in Manhattan in January 2011, according to court records.

"Sixty-five years I lived in this town and it's hard to stand here today and talk about our education community suffering so deeply", he said. He told HLN Thursday there were possible ejections in the crash. Governor Phil Murphy said the two killed were a child and an adult.

The school bus was very badly damaged, as early photos of the crash surfaced on social media and showed a bus on its side, the undercarriage completely ripped off.

"Everyone's trying to make sense of this", Murphy said after meeting with teachers.

A boy who was on the bus says the bus fell over and people were left "hanging from their seat belts".

"I ask all members of our Paramus community to keep the deceased and wounded and their families in their prayers as we work collectively to recover from this tragedy", the mayor said. Some of the victims crawled out of the emergency exit in the back and an escape hatch on the roof.

Employment conditions at record high
By comparison, the unemployment rate in the two mining states, Queensland and Western Australia jumped to 6.3% and 6.4% in April. The participation rate climbed to 65.6 percent, near levels seen in early 2011, as more women entered the labour force.

It was initially reported that the bus had collided with a dump truck causing the bus to roll into the median and dislodge from its chassis.

"It's like nothing you've ever seen before", he said.

One pupil on the bus, Theo Ancevski, said: "I heard a scraping sound and we toppled over the highway". About 30 minutes after their arrival, however, they were told they had to return to school due to bad weather.

"Make sure that when you leave here today, for those of you that have loved ones, you go home and you say how much you love them and give them a kiss, because there are people that, tonight, are struggling to be able to do that, and in some cases not able to", he said.

Some of the children were still inside the bus and some were outside when first responders arrived, according to Jeff Paul, director of the Morris County Office of Emergency Management.

The National Transportation Safety Board said via Twitter that it was "gathering information" on the crash.

The bus, which was carrying an unknown number of students, was one of three heading to Waterloo Village in Stanhope, New Jersey, for a fifth-grade field trip. Paramus schools superintendent Michele Robinson said remaining field trips for the school year have been cancelled.
