BCCI announce squads for Women's T20 Challenge

Women's T20 Challenge to be played in Mumbai on May 22

Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur to lead in T20-style tie

Out of the 26, 10 global stars from Australia, England and New Zealand will grace their presence of the encounter which is slowly gaining more excitement with each passing day. While IPL Trailblazers has players like Alyssa Healy, Jhulan Goswami, Deepti Sharma Ekta Bisht and Poonam Yadav, the IPL Supernovas boasts of players like Mithali Raj, Meg Lanning, Ellyse Perry and Veda Krishnamurthy. The other four overseas players in this team are Suzie Bates, Beth Mooney, Danielle Hazell and Lea Tahuhu.

Indian star cricketers Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the two teams in an Indian Premier League-(IPL) style women's T20 challenge match, which will be played at the Wankhede Stadium on May 22. The coach is Tushar Arothe.

IPL Supernovas: Danielle Wyatt, Mithali Raj, Meg Lanning, Harmanpreet Kaur (capt), Sophie Devine, Ellyse Perry, Veda Krishnamurthy, Mona Meshram, Pooja Vastrakar, Megan Schutt, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Anuja Patil, Taniya Bhatia (wk). The Coach is Biju George.

Women's Golf, Volleyball Receive APR Recognition
The aggregate 2016-17 Academic Progress Rate data for all NCAA Division I institutions will be announced later this month. The University of Arkansas has earned a public recognition award in 12 of the 13 years since the program was initiated.

The exhibition match is scheduled to begin at 2 pm and all the IPL rules will be followed.

No firm details of the new league have yet been revealed, but pressure for a women's IPL has been building since India reached the final of the women's World Cup in England past year.

Shedding more light on the objective of the match, for presenting a canvas for Women's T20 tournament in India, CoA chairman Vinod Rai stated, "This is being staged as a well-deserved exhibition to showcase the tremendous depth and capability that women's cricket in India has achieved".
