The images also show that this variant has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There's a slight chin at the bottom for the front facing stereo speakers as well. Hopefully, this means the phone now has its own version of a facial recognition feature, similar to the iPhone X or the Huawei P20 Pro.
It's a similar system to what Google has used with the likes of the Pixel 2, and could be used to better allow a single-lens camera to create the bokeh effect in Portrait Mode, as well as potentially benefiting HDR mode. Existing face unlock methods on Android are all not considered secure enough for things like mobile payments, but given we know support for secure face unlock is coming to the OS, I wouldn't be surprised to see Google debut such a feature on its next smartphones.

Avengers 4 will release in the USA on May 3, 2019 with both Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel premiering before. There have been many theories as to what will take place in the next Avengers film .
That would seem to indicate that Google is moving to a glass back for the Pixel 3, and seeking to make it evocative of previous models, which employed both metal and glass for the back, through the use of some clever industrial design. Apparently, Google is planning to add dual front cameras (at least that's what it looks like) to the Pixel 3 XL.
Interestingly, these photos suggest that the SIM tray will be located at the bottom edge of the smartphone, right next to the USB Type-C port.
