Arjun Tendulkar named in U19 squad for Sri Lanka tour - Cricbuzz

Although, the left-arm pacer doesn't have stats to prove his credential, a tally of 18 wickets from five Cooch Behar Trophy (National U-19) and 43rd in the list of wicket-takers for the season, he certainly seems to have done enough to impress the selectors.

Arjun has trained under former India fast bowler Subroto Banerjee, a close friend of Tendulkar.

Earlier in the day, the All-India Junior Selection Committee met in Bengaluru to pick the India U19 squads for two four-day games and five one-dayers against hosts Sri Lanka, which are slated to be held from July 11 to August 11. He is also a regular net bowler for the Indian team, whenever they play in Mumbai and also bowled to the India women's team ahead of their World Cup final against England at Lord's previous year. A tall, quick, left-arm pace bowler, Arjun Tendulkar's biggest claim to fame in his cricketing career is hitting Jonny Bairstow on the toe with a yorker during a net session, sending the Englishman off with an injury scare. The visiting team will first play two four-day games against the home team which will be followed by five one-day games. He runs, and delivers the ball with a weird action. "Remember, there was someone called Rohan Gavaskar", Ganeshan Iyer, a Twitter user wrote on Thursday.

"Arjun Tendulkar the dud picked up for under 19 squad!" Another user Nandita Ghoshal tweeted, "After Bollywood, Nepotism spreads its wings in sports too".

Microsoft sinks data center off Scottish island
The data center that went under is essentially a 40-foot long tank that's packed with 12 racks and a total of 864 servers . The company says that almost 50% of the world population lives near the coast so why shouldn't our data be there.

Does his selection mean he has a good chance to play at the next Under-19 World Cup? What a India yaar.... International Cricket Council (ICC) also congratulated Arjun on his achievement.

Meanwhile, Mumbai U-19 coach Satish Samant told The Indian Express that Arjun had improved a lot in the recent past and has added a lot of variety to his bowling. The Indian fans will be thrilled to watch him though and will somehow try to find the shades of Sachin's batting in his technique whenever he will stride out to bat on the 22 yards.
