UFC 225 Weigh-in Results: Yoel Romero Misses Weight for Title Fight

UFC 225 Full Official Weigh-in Video: Whittaker Makes the Mark; Romero Does Not

Yoel Romero Misses Weight And Won’t Fight For Championship At UFC225

The main event at UFC 225 has been thrown into serious doubt after Cuban challenger Yoel Romero twice missed weight for his slated middleweight title fight with Robert Whittaker.

Romero missed weight by 0.2lbs overnight - his second straight failed weight cut - removing the title from the equation.

Whittaker weighed in bang on the limit.

The rest of the fighters on the card also made weight for the Saturday, June 9, event.

Or Romero will derail the New Zealand fighter and force the UFC to make a decision.

Given that he was competing for the UFC belt, he had to make "championship weight" of 185lbs or under.

Obama-era license aimed to let Iran convert money
But Jarrett Blanc, former State Department coordinator of the Iran deal, called the report "wildly overblown". It did not allow Iran to conduct commercial transactions in foreign currencies via the U.S. banking system.

"We came here to fight for the title", Romero said after the ceremonial weigh-ins, where he received a chorus of boos from the local crowd "I came here for the title fight".

We'll update the post if anything interesting is said during the post-fight press conference.

Regardless of the minor amount of weight, or what really happened backstage between the Illinois Athletic Commission, Romero, his team and the UFC, this is inexcusable.

Romero was granted two hours to see if he could lose that last pound but did not show up until 10 minutes before the cut-off point.

In laymen's terms, if one were to bet $1 on Mike Jackson they could win an additional.53 cents; however, if a $1 bet was placed on a winning CM Punk, the bettor would take home an additional $1.55. "And number two, no, I would not go".
