The hashtag #TwoDictators erupted on Twitter after Fox News host Abby Huntsman on Sunday mistakenly used the term to describe President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Two of the most unpredictable leaders on the world stage, President Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong Un are about to meet face-to-face for the first time; Ed Henry reports from Singapore.

The mistake seemed to go unnoticed by former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci, seated next to Huntsman.

"Regardless of what happens in that meeting between the two dictators, what we are seeing right now ― this is history", she continued.

"Wait a minute and rewind that dvr", Twitter user Rob Bennett wrote, "Did Abby Huntsman just say 'THE MEETING BETWEEN TWO DICTATORS'".

"This is history", Huntsman said over video showing Trump arriving in Singapore ahead of Tuesday's meeting with Kim. Analysts say Kim's diplomatic outreach in recent months after a flurry of nuclear and missile tests in 2017 indicates he is eager for sanctions relief to build his economy and the worldwide legitimacy the summit with Trump would provide.

She apologised for the comment later in the show. He can take that nation, with those great people, and truly make it great.

"This gaffe is probably the most honest thing ever said in the program's history", one person tweeted.

She apologized for calling both men dictators and added, "I did not mean to say that".

Catching a solid Freudian slip is fun no matter what.
