In a post on her Facebook page Courtney Hadwin said: "I didn't know what to expect when I auditioned for America's Got Talent but the Golden Buzzer was more than I ever could have dreamed of. You're from a whole different era", said Howie Mandel.

The teen performed a high-octane version of Otis Redding's Hard to Handle - seemingly totally at odds with her shy demeanour just moments before.

When the song ended she got a standing ovation, much to her dad's delight, who was watching with host Tyra Banks from backstage. "You're like this shy little thing when you first came out".

From the first moment Hadwin began to sing, judge Simon Cowell was absolutely floored, and he had nothing but praise for the incredible songstress after her performance. "And then you sing, and you're like a lion", Cowell marveled.

"You are not from this era".

The Pope launched a "cleansing" of the bishops in Chile
Jordi Bertomeu of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in February, resulting in a 2,300 page report on the scandal. The announcement came in a June 11 communique from the Vatican , along with the resignation of two other Chilean bishops.

The video of her audition has been viewed 16 million times. While Howie couldn't give Courtney a record deal, he did hit the golden buzzer meaning she will go straight to the live show rounds.

Courtney had previously been a finalist on The Voice Kids UK, but has gained plenty of new fans - Twitter exploding after her performance. After she was done rocking out, the judges were quick to shower Courtney with praise.

"Thank you so much Howie Mandel I am so happy and can't thank you enough".

Courtney competed in The Voice Kids UK a year ago but missed out on the top prize.
