Arsenal set to sign Bernd Leno with Bayer Leverkusen willing to let goalkeeper leave for £22m

Leno looks likely to join in a deal worth €30m and will Unai Emery's second official signing as the new Arsenal boss.

Bernd Leno will cost the gunners £20million to get him and it is reported that the club is close to agreeing personal terms with the German worldwide.

And Leno has been one of the most impressive keepers in the Bundesliga, making 233 league appearances for Leverkusen. Napoli appeared to be emerging as favourites but the report says they failed to agree terms over a fee with Leverkusen which has opened the door for Arsenal.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund scout is responsible for transfers for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitayran, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Stephan Lichtsteiner whilst Sokratis Papastathopoulos is also reportedly close to arriving.
