The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, was Queen Elizabeth's plus-one for an official engagement in Cheshire, England. Markle's assistant private secretary, Amy Pickerill, was also with her at that time. Breaking the monotony, she accessorised her outfit with a black belt and matching heels. The dazzling pearl and diamond earrings perfectly paired with Meghan's stylish eggshell-coloured, black belted Givenchy dress. While it's not exactly groundbreaking (if she had made a decision to wear red, though, that would be another story), it is a notable choice on the newly minted duchess's part.
All five aides and members of Markle and the Queen's royal staff sat behind them while watching the various events in Cheshire. The Queen and Meghan enjoyed an overnight stay on the train together prior to their appearances - a rare privilege for the newest addition to the royal family.
Meghan, 36, memorably debuted the dress May 19 when she and her groom, Prince Harry, drove off from Windsor Castle in a blue Jaguar to their evening wedding reception at Frogmore House, hosted by Prince Charles.
Earlier as well, the Queen had loaned Meghan the Bandeau tiara of Queen Mary from her personal collection to wear at her wedding to Prince Harry.
