Widow of hero diver who died during Thai cave rescue urges the boys not to blame themselves

Twelve boys rescued from a flooded cave in Thailand shed tears as they paid tribute to a diver who died during the rescue mission.

The efforts of Harris were made all the more profound in recent days, when it was revealed that his father had passed away during his time in Thailand.

He was promoted posthumously to lieutenant commander by HM the King on Saturday to honour his sacrifice.

The Thai authorities have promised to look into the issue and fast-track applications for those who were trapped in the cave.

A psychiatrist who has examined the group added that their mental state also seems good at present.

He worked at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport before volunteering to help with the rescue in northern Thailand.

Some of the boys rescued from the Tham Luang cave pay their respects to former navy SEAL Saman Gunan.

They were all extracted on July 10, ending an ordeal that had the world holding its breath for their safe return.

Australia played a key part in the rescue attempt, including Adelaide anaesthetist Richard "Harry" Harris and his diving partner, retired Perth vet Craig Challen.

Local and British divers who Dr Harris described as "the awesome foursome" had already laid terrific groundwork to ensure the success of the gruelling mission, he stated.

However, in the aftermath of the courageous rescue effort, Lieutenant Commander Saman's widow, Valeepoan Kunan, said: "I want to tell the boys, please don't blame yourselves".

Juncker struggles before gala, leaders step in to help
Juncker, 63, has previously himself spoken of back and leg pain and serious injuries he suffered in a auto accident in 1989. Pictures taken the same night show Mr Juncker being brought into the dinner in a wheelchair .

"They had drugs", he told the Sunday Telegraph. "I am very thank you so heavy, thank you so much".

Some of the rescued football team cry as they're told the news a diver died during the preparations for their rescue.

All will be discharged from hospital in the northern town of Chiang Rai on Thursday, he said.

Most of the boys rescued were generally in good condition and showing no signs of stress, a senior health official told Reuters on July 11. He said the boys were "ecstatic" when the two divers appeared in front of the ledge where they had sought sanctuary, crowding to the front of the bank to greet their rescuers. "That's when they realised it was impossible to go in and help the boys".

The official declined to be identified as she is not authorised to speak to media.

The boys and their 25-year-old coach were freed over three days last week, bringing to an end a complex rescue mission involving hundreds of experts from across the world. They planned to be in the cave for an hour, but flood waters forced them deeper into the cave until they were stranded.

They were discovered nine days later by two British divers, perched on a small ledge of dry land about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from the cave's entrance. "I wouldn't be surprised if they get married".

Last week, Manchester United invited the "Wild Boars" to watch a match at their Old Trafford ground.
