WWE 'reinstates' Hulk Hogan into its hall of fame after a 'three-year suspension'

Just hours ahead of Sunday night's WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view, the company announced via WWE.com that arguably the biggest name in the history of professional wrestling has been let back into the WWE Hall of Fame following a three-year suspension.

As soon as the WWE confirmed on their social media accounts that Hulk Hogan had been reinstated to the Hall of Fame, it was clear that he was on his way back in.

In a statement released on Sunday, the organization said this is his "second chance" after his innumerable public apologies and volunteering with children's programs. Although the tape has pretty much been scrubbed from the internet after Hogan sued Gawker for leaking the footage, audio of the wrestler using the N-word accompanied the leak.

When Hogan was ousted from the WWE Hall of Fame, he was also deleted from the company's website and his merchandise was taken out of the company's online shop, The New York Post reported.
