In the trailer, Starcourt Mall is advertised as the flawless place to go shopping, eat food, and just enjoy. But with its season teasers, the show seems to playfully lean into this. Made to lovingly look like an ad found on some old bootleg VHS, the new teaser delivers tons of style, though admittedly little substance.

So there isn't a lot of new information here, although adding a shopping mall to the small town of Hawkins, Indiana is a natural step.

Just when it looks like fans may not get glimpse at their favorite Stranger Things stars, the commercial cuts to the food court to show Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) working alongside newcomer Robin (Maya Hawke) at Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Parlor. Stranger Things has proved to be one of the biggest hits that Netflix has produced to date, but the streaming service has also shown that they will take their time when producing a new season of a hit show if need be.

It could happen, but a spring or summer release seems much more likely. The window for the 2019 Emmy consideration runs from June 1 to May 31 of a given year.

There was a gap of more than a year between Seasons 1 and 2 of Stranger Things, and this makes it seem like there's going to be a almost two-year break between Seasons 2 and 3. Nothing to read into there at all, we're sure.
