Liverpool make €70m bid for Roma's Alisson - reports

Report: Liverpool Make Official Bid For Roma Keeper Alisson

Alisson, 25, has become one of the world's top goalkeeper since joining Roma from Internacional in 2016, and he will allegedly travel to England for a medical on Saturday ahead of completing his move.

When asked if Liverpool should go and spend £60m or more on a goalkeeper like Alisson, Hartson, speaking at the Premier League and BT Disability Football Festival at Manchester City's Etihad Campus, exclusively told Express Sport: "I think they could do that".

Liverpool appear to have finally sorted out their biggest issue by agreeing terms with Roma over their goalkeeper Alisson.

Alisson is also coming off of a fine season with Roma, keeping 17 clean sheets as his side finished 3rd in Serie A.

He spoke to Jurgen Klopp yesterday expressing his desire to join the club and Liverpool then increased their offer to reach the agreement.

Alisson, Brazil's starting goalkeeper, is on Chelsea's radar amid ongoing doubt over Thibaut Courtois' future, although Liverpool are now in pole position to land the Roma keeper.

He is poised to be the fourth major signing for Liverpool this summer, following the arrivals of Naby Keita from Red Bull Leipzig, Fabinho from AS Monaco and Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City.
