The sports version of the Academy Awards was hosted by newly-retired racecar driver Danica Patrick.
The ESPYs is always an interesting spectacle because it allows the best athletes in sports to be given the full Hollywood treatment for at least one night - red carpet, awards show, stage presentations and all.
Not every joke has an audience - Patrick found that out the hard way on Wednesday night. The auto racing star opened with shots at Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and the United States men's national soccer team.
"The Golden State Warriors once again won the NBA Finals", Patrick said.

Patrick proved a good sport by taking aim at herself.
Patrick's paramour, Green Bay Packer's quarterback Aaron Rodgers, also stars in the fake trailer in a Jeff Gilooly-inspired sweater and mustache.
