Brad Ziegler, Jake Diekman traded to Arizona Diamondbacks

Texas Rangers pitcher Jake Diekman was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday and all he had to do was take a golf cart to the other side of Chase Field

Diamondbacks To Acquire Jake Diekman

Miami received 24-year-old right-hander Tommy Eveld, who is 3-2 with a 1.11 ERA in two levels in the Diamondbacks' system this season.

But reliever Jake Diekman, shipped from the Rangers to the Diamondbacks before Tuesday's trade deadline, had an easier route than most.

Diekman pitched against Arizona on Monday night, so the faces he saw in his new digs should be somewhat familiar.

Arizona designated left-hander Jorge De La Rosa for assignment.
