It's the Moto Z3, the latest flagship device and the successor to 2017's Moto Z2 Force. Although the Moto Z3 as a flagship Android device, it will be shipping with last year's Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor - the same processor used on the Moto Z2. It gets a 6.01-inch Max Vision Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, without the notch. Incidentally, the display doesn't have the increasingly common notch at the top. The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and is only available in a 64GB storage configuration. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage up to 2TB. One of the unique elements of the Moto Z3 is that it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and most people claim that it works surprisingly well. The device is is splash resistant. Moto Z3 comes with a water-repellent coating for splashes. There's one color 12 MP f/2.0 sensor with 1.25um pixels and another 12 MP monochrome sensor. The sensors do have a f/2.0 aperture. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel snapper on the front. Interestingly, Motorola has baked in Google Lens into the rear camera.
The 2018 flagship smartphone from Motorola packs a rather humble 3,000 mAh battery pack. The device is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and support (15W) TurboPower fast charging technology.
There isn't a headphone jack but Motorola will include a converter dongle in the box.
The Moto Z3 runs Android 8.1 Oreo.
After a bunch of unnecessary hype, Lenovo-owned Motorola has finally revealed exactly what we expected the group to announce today at their press event in Chicago. Strangely, the Moto Z3 appears to lack an inbuilt 5G antenna. To offer 5G connectivity, Motorola has embedded Qualcomm's X50 modem within a module that's called the 5G Moto Mod.
Additionally, as a limited-time offer, those who purchase the Moto Z3 will be able to get their hands on any Moto Mod that cost over $100 for just $50. To enjoy the 5G network on the Moto Z3, users will need to separately buy the 5G Moto Mod after the network is official.

There are only a few cities in America that have 5G.
The 5G Moto Mod will go on sale sometime in early 2019, but there's no word on pricing just yet. The clip-on additional battery feature is also a bonus.

Moto Z3 comes in one colour of "ceramic black". The Mod will become available in the USA early next year.
Externally, it's fair to say that the smartphone doesn't really bring anything new to the table. Let's take a closer look at the new Moto Z3. As of now, there is no information about the worldwide availability of the device.
