He will become Everton's fourth signing of the summer transfer window, with deals having already been put in place to take Richarlison from Watford, Joao Virginia from Arsenal and Lucas Digne from Barcelona.

The 23-year-old had been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United but the Toffees have won the race, shelling out almost £30million.

Everton signed Yerry Mina for 30.25 million euros, André Gomes on a one-season loan deal, and Bernard on a free transfer.

Everton remain hopeful of completing a second loan deal for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, which was submitted ahead of the 5pm deadline.
