It's been only a few hours since news surfaced that her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Dennis Shields, 51, was found dead by an alleged overdose in New York City's Trump Towers on August 10.

The cast members of the "Real Housewives of New York City" are mourning the loss of Dennis Shields, Bethenny Frankel's on-again-off-again boyfriend.

Sources told the New York Post that Shields asked his assistant to administer Narcan, "believing he was overdosing on prescription pills".

After his unexpected death at 51 of a suspected overdose, Dennis Shields' estranged wife Jill says she is heartbroken. The two knew each other for nearly three decades, since Shields married one of Frankel's high school friends.

They had a rich history, having met 28 years ago, though their romance didn't start until much later. We're trying to really kind of be good partners and be good teammates and I think relationships oddly are -and this sounds cold-but a little bit like business.
