Harvey Weinstein is escorted in handcuffs into the State Supreme Court after on Monday for arraignment on charges alleging he committed a sex crime against a third woman on 9 July 2018 in New York City.
Thompson told Sky News Weinstein was "playing a cat-and-mouse game from the very beginning to see how far he could push me, and what my reactions might be so that he could gauge how he would play with (me), where my levers were, what were my vulnerabilities".
Thompson is clearly uncomfortable throughout the video, at one place telling Weinstein his hands were moving too far up her leg.
Per Thompson, she had set up a meeting with Weinstein in 2011, when she was 28, at his company's offices in NY, to pitch him on working with her on advertising and marketing initiatives for films.
"It is hot. You're hot", Weinstein replies. Give it to me. Weinstein's shifting behavior made her unable to think straight, she told Sky. I worked in Wall Street before I went to business school, and I worked in an environment that was heavily male dominated...
He can then be seen rubbing Thompson's shoulder as the two sit next to each other in front of her computer, which appears to be the device Thompson used to record the encounter.
At one point in the video, Thompson is explaining to Weinstein how she might be able to help his company promote its movies, but he interrupts her with what reads awfully like a blatant sexual proposition: "You just tell me what I can do and when it's going to happen", Weinstein says as Thompson smiles nervously.
'DUCHA--': Meghan Markle’s sister slams her for acting ‘fake’
Taking to Twitter , Ms Markle wrote: "I am not candy coating anything anymore!" "He was the one who was always there for her. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex , has been labeled a "DuchA-" by half-sister Samantha Markle in her latest rant.
Nearly immediately, Weinstein asks: "Am I allowed to flirt with you?"
Throughout the meeting, Weinstein continually makes suggestive comments toward Thompson. Thompson says that she accepted Weinstein's offer in the hopes that it would help her close the business deal, and that she felt comfortable meeting Weinstein even after he touched her inappropriately because she believed it would be in a public space.
Instead, Thompson says, he took her to his hotel room where he raped her. "Brafman says, ". the video, when viewed in its entirety, in context and not in select excerpts, demonstrates that there is nothing forceful, but casual - if not awkward - flirting from both parties". "He cornered me, over and over again".
"Anything short of that is meant to make Mr. Weinstein appear inappropriate and even exploitative", Brafman continued. "I thought I could handle it, I had never met anyone that I couldn't handle... until Harvey Weinstein". I constantly felt trapped, no matter where I turned.
But Brafman accused Thompson to trying to bolster her position in the lawsuit.
Claiming that the video tried to malign Weinstein for financial gain, Barfman said facts mattered.
"Any suggestion of sexual misconduct is false".
