"We acknowledge the resignation of KemiAdeosun from office as Minister of Finance, but insist on her immediate arrest and prosecution for deserting national service and forging her NYSC Exemption Certificate in addition to alleged impropriety and abuse of office", PDP spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan said in a statement.
Adeosun resigned her appointment on Friday, 69 days after Premium Times published a report that her National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate was fake.
Adeosun had been enmeshed in an NYSC certificate forgery scandal for weeks before her eventual resignation.
The minister felt that her position is becoming untenable and is hurting the President in the run up to the 2019 election. I only wished she had done this earlier.
She has since been replaced by Zainab Ahmed, who until Friday was a junior minister in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning.

Adeosun, born and raised in the United Kingdom, explained that her "trusted associates" got her the now questionable document because she was not "familiar with their [NYSC] operations".
"Upon inquiry as to my status relating to NYSC, I was informed that due to my residency history and having exceeded the age of thirty (30), I was exempted from the requirement to serve".
She started work in 1982 as an Accountant in Kaduna State Ministry of Finance in Kaduna state and moved to Nigerian Telecommunication Ltd (NITEL) in 1995, where she worked in various departments and rose to the rank of the Deputy General Manager (DGM).
Though her media aides did not come on record to speak to the press, they allowed journalists to see the Minister's vehicle port to confirm that she was on seat and has not resigned.
