"I think he's qualified for the Supreme Court", she said.

US First Lady Melania Trump wrapped up her visit to Kenya on Saturday morning after spending two nights in Nairobi, the longest stay in one country during her maiden solo tour of four African countries.

'I´m glad that Dr. Ford was heard.

Without weighing in on the sexual assault allegations that Ford levelled against Kavanaugh, Mrs Trump says victims of "any kind of abuse or violence" must be helped.

Responding to a question, she said she does not always agree with her husbands' tweets, and she tells him that, sometimes he listens, sometimes he doesn't. The Trump administration has pushed to cut funding to USAID, which supports several projects the first lady visited. Remember that time when she wore an olive-green army jacket with the words, "I don't really care".

The First Lady has been criticised for choosing to wear a pith hat while on safari in Kenya, after its connections to colonialism.

"I'm not elected, he's the president", the First Lady said.

While in Kenya, visiting the Sheldrick Wildlife Elephant Project overnight, Mrs Trump wore a white button-down shirt, khaki trousers, knee-high brown leather boots and...a pith helmet.

Turkish police believe missing Saudi journalist Khashoggi was killed in consulate
Saudi officials insisted he left the building, but Turkey's government said all evidence suggested he was still inside. On Friday, Turkey's foreign ministry summoned Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Ankara over the issue.

Melania is seen near the Sphinx of Giza.

"Nobody discussed that with me (during the trip), and I never heard him saying those comments".

"She's still largely a mystery to the American people because she maintains her largely low profile", said Katherine Jellison, who studies first ladies at Ohio University. The first lady has said that she looks forward to spreading the message of her "Be Best" child-welfare initiative.

She was speaking in the shadow of the Sphinx, the mysterious carved monument that has stood on the outskirts of what is now modern-day Cairo for millennia, having earlier met with Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al Sisi and his wife Intissar Amer at the presidential palace in the Egyptian capital.

Earlier in the day the former model stepped off a plane at Cairo global airport wearing high-waisted white trousers, a pleated white shirt and a black tie with a beige jacket.

Kim Yi Dionne, an African politics expert at UC Riverside, tweeted: "Melania Trump wearing a pith helmet on her trip to "Africa" is more than a silly sartorial choice".

She closed her tour in Egypt by touring the pyramids and the Great Sphinx to highlight US -backed preservation efforts there.
